PRP Vaginal rejuvenation, also known as the Orgasm Shot, is a non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure designed to help improve sexual function and satisfaction in women and decrease incontinence. It is based on Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, which involves extracting a small amount of the patient's blood, processing it to isolate the platelet-rich plasma, and then injecting it into specific areas of the vagina. The PRP contains growth factors and proteins that can help stimulate tissue regeneration, collagen production, and blood vessel formation, resulting in improvement in stress or urge incontinence, increased sensitivity and potentially enhanced sexual response.
You’re a good candidate for this treatment if you suffer from any of the following symptoms: lack of a sex drive, chronic infections, discomfort after childbirth, stress urinary incontinence, and difficulty orgasming.
It's important to note that results can vary among individuals, and not everyone will experience significant improvements. Also, the O-Shot may not be suitable for everyone
Blood extraction: A small amount of the patient's blood is drawn to the FDA-approved kit.
PRP preparation: Using a centrifuge and a special method, platelet plasma is isolated the resultant growth factors.
Numbing: A local anesthetic cream is applied to the injection site to minimize discomfort during the procedure.
PRP injection: The prepared PRP is then injected into specific areas of the vagina, such as the clitoris and the anterior vaginal wall, which is close to the G-spot. The injections are typically done using a very fine needle to minimize discomfort.
Recovery: The procedure is quick, typically taking less than an hour from start to finish. There may be some minor discomfort or swelling after the procedure, but most women can resume their normal activities immediately, including sexual intercourse (some women experience immediate heightened arousal due to the pressure of the PRP. During the next few weeks, vaginal rejuvenation begins with full effect noted at 3 months. Improvement is usually maintained for 12-18 months but can be repeated 8-10 weeks if desired.
