Semaglutide is a revolutionary medical treatment designed to combat obesity and aid in weight loss. It is a small protein (peptide) that activates metabolic pathways in the body, effectively increasing blood sugar metabolism and reducing appetite. This remarkable medication mimics the action of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), a hormone that plays a crucial role in regulating blood sugar levels and managing body weight.
Choosing Semaglutide for your medical weight loss journey can significantly improve your quality of life in various ways. Some of the key benefits of this treatment include:
Unlike surgical weight loss procedures, this treatment offers a non-invasive option with minimal downtime. This means you can continue with your daily activities while undergoing treatment without the need for lengthy recovery periods.
Since semaglutide slows down how quickly food leaves your stomach, Gastrointestinal (GI) side effects tend to happen frequently. The most common are nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting. You may experience these effects more strongly with the higher doses.
Additional common side effects can include:
Semaglutide is injected once a week. It can be given at any time of day and taken with or without food. It is typically injected just under the skin (subcutaneously) in the abdomen, upper arm, or thigh.
Once you start taking the medication, our Nurse Practitioner will modify your dose based on your weight loss and will assess any side effects to help you achieve the best results.
If you have been struggling to lose weight through traditional diet and exercise alone, Semaglutide may be the solution you've been looking for. However, not everyone is a suitable candidate for this treatment. It is essential to discuss your medical history, allergies, and any existing health conditions with our experienced medical team to determine if this treatment is the right fit for you. Generally, individuals with a history or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2, or type 1 diabetes are not eligible for treatment. Schedule an appointment to determine if you'd make a good candidate for Semaglutide and answer any questions you may have during a consultation.

The cost of Semaglutide varies depending on the length of the program. Youthful-Glow offers individual injections and packages of 4, 8, 10, and 12. The larger the package, the better the price of each injection will be.
1. Initial Phase (Weeks 1-4). 0.25 mg once a week. This initial low dose helps the body adjust to the medication and minimizes gastrointestinal side effects (e.g., nausea).
2. Titration Phase (Weeks 5-8). 0.5 mg once a week. Gradually increasing the dose improves the medication’s tolerability and enhances its effectiveness in controlling blood sugar levels and promoting weight loss.
3. Maintenance Phase (After Week 8). The standard maintenance dose is 1 mg once a week. This dose is necessary for consistent blood sugar control and maintaining a healthy weight.
Additional higher dosage (if needed and well tolerated): up to 2 mg once a week. This is typically prescribed for patients who require additional glycemic control and weight loss.
If you miss a dose of Semaglutide, take it as soon as possible if it is more than two days until your next dose. If it is less than two days, skip the missed dose and take your next dose on time.
NEVER DOUBLE THE DOSE!!!
If you haven’t taken the medication for 2 weeks or more, contact us to adjust your treatment plan. We will help you safely resume taking the medication.
The medication starts to take effect in about two weeks. Initial results can be seen within the first four weeks. For most people, noticeable weight loss occurs within 12 weeks. Clinical data confirm that this approach is safe and effective for long-term weight management.
Results may vary between patients, and some patients may lose more weight than others depending on multiple variables, including genetics and environmental factors, the program length, the dosage, diet, and exercise.
For all of our patients, we recommend a low-carb and high-protein diet. Those on Semaglutide may experience nausea if they eat meals that are high in processed carbohydrates and sugar. Instead, we recommend protein-dense and high-fiber foods like chicken, eggs, Greek yogurt, fish, nuts, vegetables, and berries. We also recommend drinking 88-100 oz of water.
Once hitting your goal weight, it’s essential to maintain a healthy diet of high-protein foods.
Additionally, we offer Weight Loss semaglutide maintenance program injections to help manage appetite and stay at goal weight.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
